Credentials And Elections Committee

The Board of Directors election will be facilitated by the Credentials and Elections Committee as outlined in the Cooperative's Bylaws. The Committee, which operates independent of the Tri-County Electric Cooperative Board and staff, serves the membership by functioning as the screening process for members to seek election as a director.

The Committee, which is empowered to facilitate the entire election process, serves two purposes: determine eligibility for members seeking to be on the upcoming election ballot and to rank the top candidates per eligible district.

Members may now apply to serve on the Credentials and Elections Committee. Members are strongly encouraged to review the Credentials and Elections Committee Guidebook on this page for the qualifications and expectations of this role. The application period opens on April 8, 2026 and closes April 24, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Applications will be reviewed and in-person interviews will be conducted on May 7, 2026. Attendance at the interview is required to be considered for appointment to the committee.

Five committee members will be selected to serve staggered terms as follows:

  1. Three members serve three-year terms beginning May 2026
  2. Two members serve two-year terms beginning May 2026

Terms will be for three years after these initial terms.

Completed application packets, including background check consent and confidentiality agreement forms, must be submitted electronically to elections@tcectexas.com no later than April 24, 2026.
