STORM RESTORATION UPDATE:

Following Saturday night's severe weather outbreak, including EF-2 and EF-1 confirmed tornadoes near Runaway Bay, Springtown, and Azle, TCEC crews and mutual aid partners are working around the clock to restore service across the system. Debris, blocked roads, and access continue to slow progress in some areas. Full restoration is expected by Sunday, May 3, barring additional storms or unforeseen circumstances.

Members in heavily damaged areas should prepare for extended restoration times.

Power Cost Recovery Factor

Power Cost Recovery Factor (PCRF) is a rate mechanism used to true-up the actual cost of wholesale generation and transmission services to the budgeted costs included in the Energy Charge. PCRF is a pass-through component, meaning the cost of wholesale power and transmission services flows through to the member without markup.

Power costs, which includes wholesale generation and transmission services, accounts for 70-80% of residential bills. Tri-County Electric Cooperative's residential rate, listed as the Energy Charge on bills, includes 10.5 cents of budgeted power costs.
