TCEC serves members in growing cities, small towns, and rural communities across 16 North Texas counties. When applications opened for the 2026 Power Your Future Scholarship program, students from across the service area answered the call.
TCEC spent the last several weeks traveling across the community to congratulate 40 graduating seniors in person. Each one earned a $5,000 scholarship to support their education. The recipients were selected from nearly 240 applicants. They include homeschool students and students from 10 areas: Azle, Birdville, Carroll, Granbury, Keller, Northwest, Peaster, Perrin-Whitt, Springtown, and Weatherford.
Every scholarship dollar came from unclaimed funds. These are dollars that would have gone back to the state if TCEC had not reinvested them here. Instead, they stayed in the community and went to work for members and their families.

TCEC also thanks the school counselors and teachers who encouraged students to apply.
Local businesses, chambers, and community partners helped spread the word and connect students to the opportunity.
