The Tri-County Electric Board of Directors has agreed to hold a special election to fill the vacant seats representing Districts 6 and 8. A complete election timeline is expected to be finalized by the October 2 board meeting.

The elected directors from Districts 6 and 8 will serve only the remainder of the current unexpired terms, which both end in September 2027. At that time, those two seats will return to the regular election cycle.

The Credentials and Election Committee, which independently oversees the screening process for members seeking Board election, has nominated the following candidates for the 2025 regular election:

• Robin Corder (District 5)
• Sommer Portwood (District 7)
• Don Lambert (District 9)

These candidates are anticipated to be elected by acclamation during the upcoming 86th Tri-County Electric Annual Meeting of the Members on Tuesday, September 23, provided they continue to meet all eligibility requirements.

Elections for Districts 1, 2, and 4 remain scheduled for September 2026.
