This year, we're launching a new crew dispatch center in Aledo — a move designed to deliver faster response times, improve reliability, and enhance both member service and employee well-being.
Strategically located between our Granbury and Azle offices, the Aledo facility isn't new construction — it's a smart reuse of an existing TCEC building. Previously used for ISP operations, it's now being repurposed to support our core mission of safe and reliable power at the lowest possible cost to serve the fast-growing communities of Willow Park, Aledo, Hudson Oaks, and Weatherford.
Up to now, some linemen dispatched from Granbury or Azle have faced lengthy travel times just to reach this region. That delay isn't efficient, and it's not aligned with the expectations we've set for operational excellence. By anchoring a crew in Aledo, we're achieving:
- Faster outage response
- Greater reliability for members
- Lower operational costs through reduced travel time and fuel use
- Improved safety and work-life balance for our team
This is a member-first, employee-wise, cost-conscious step forward — and a strong example of what's possible when we align geography with growth and operations with opportunity. It started with a practical need. It's being delivered with a leadership mindset that says: TCEC can and will do better. Members deserve better.
