Sommer Portwood, District 7
Sommer Portwood has served on the Tri-County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors since October 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and a Master of Business Administration from Tarleton State University. Portwood worked in pharmaceutical sales before moving back to her hometown of Seymour as a small business owner. Currently, she owns and operates two small businesses, a steakhouse and a specialty beverage store.
As a native of Seymour, Portwood looks for opportunities to serve the community and its citizens. She serves on the Seymour Development Corporation board and received the Seymour Chamber of Commerce 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year award.
