That’s because your bill will be about the same month after month. This really helps level or smooth out the peak cooling and heating periods. Average billing does not reduce your bill, it just helps you manage your electric payments. The average balance owed is calculated by adding your current actual bill to your previous 6 to 12 months bills and dividing by 7-13, plus eight percent (8%) of any prior balance. This makes your bills approximately the same each month. This is great for anyone on a budget or fixed income. There is no extra charge or fee for this service.
